Community Partner: Cleaning For A Reason

When diagnosed and battling a chronic illness such as breast cancer, taking care of your home can become very challenging. There are organizations dedicated to making sure that breast cancer patients and survivors have what they need to keep their home in order. Cleaning For A Reason is an international non-profit organization whose mission is to do just that for you so you don’t have to!  

This organization provides free home cleaning services to patients in cancer treatment, recovering from cancer surgery, or in hospice care. Their goal is to “remove the burden of cleaning and allow those recovering from surgery, in active treatment or in hospice to focus on their health and spending valuable time with loved ones” (Cleaning For A Reason). To achieve this there is a team made up of a network of residential cleaners, cleaning industry volunteers, and community volunteers who come together to support patients and their families. Founded in 2006, Cleaning For A Reason has provided services for more than 44,750 patients and families across all 50 states and Canada.     

Patients who are seeking services may apply on their website and receive two free home cleanings per month.
