Crystal has called Wilmington, NC home for over 33 years. She graduated from UNCW with a degree in Social Work in 2007 and currently works as a Community Outreach Director. Her desire to serve the community, empower people to advocate for themselves, and unite community resources contributed to her desire to advance the mission of Going Beyond the Pink.
Desiree is an Pennsylvania native, but planted roots here in Wilmington NC. She’s been married for 23 years and has two beautiful daughters. While pursuing a career in the medical field after graduating from Miller Motte Business school and holding a Medical Coding and Billing position for a little under a decade, Desiree still carved out time to share in her passion; to organize events, decorate and plan within the community, church and other charitable organizations. Desiree launched her Wedding and Event Planning Business after having served her community as an event planner in a variety of ways.
After cancer decided to enter into Desiree’s family on more than one occasion, she knew she could use her Medical Coding and Billing experience to help those afflicted understand their insurance claims and benefits . After researching Going Beyond the Pink’s programs she knew this is where she was supposed to be. As a member of the Advisory Council, Desiree lends her gift of event planning to the organization and also makes herself available to clients needing help understanding their medical bills and benefits.

Sara Barbry graduated Appalachian State in 2015 with a degree in Advertising. She is currently the Marketing Director for New Anthem Beer Project, located in downtown Wilmington. Sara moved to Wilmington after graduation with her husband, Alex, and their two dogs. Sara, a thyroid cancer survivor, began working with Going Beyond the Pink in 2019; she looks forward to bringing community awareness to such an incredible cause!
Amy is a Piedmont, North Carolina native. She spent many childhood summers in the Cape Fear region and grew to love the area. Amy attended college at Appalachian State University where she studied and attained her Bachelor’s degree in Photography and met her best friend, now husband. They spent time after college in Seattle, WA & Portland, OR where Amy began her career in Personal Finance. Her family and career brought her back to Wilmington, NC where she is currently the Branch Manager, AVP at SunTrust Bank in Leland, NC. She is grateful for her career in banking where she discovered how much she loves to teach others how to manage their finances in order to be in control of their destiny. This passion has driven Amy to give back to her community through volunteerism with StepUp Wilmington, Bullies 2 the Rescue (Charlotte English Bulldog Rescue), United Way Cape Fear Area, DREAMS Wilmington and now, Going Beyond the Pink and through the support of the SunTrust Foundation. In her free time, Amy enjoys finding peace and balance sitting by the ocean, getting her hands dirty in the rose and veggie garden, and spending time with her husband and four-legged babies.

Fraleane is originally from the foothills of North Carolina but has called Wilmington her home for the last 11 years. She graduated from UNCW with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2010, then followed with a Master of Science in Accountancy in 2011. Fraleane has worked for Live Oak Bank for four years and volunteered with multiple organizations throughout the Cape Fear in that time. She lives in Wilmington with her husband Jason and their handsome boy Rosco. Fraleane loves fitness in all forms. She runs in multiple 5ks yearly and has completed 3 half marathons. She also attends CrossFit Carolina Beach. She is excited to see what her skillset and passions can bring to Going Beyond the Pink.
