Pain Management
We've curated some wonderful resources that we hope will help you manage that cancer-related pain. Pain may be related to the cancer itself, treatment, side effects, and more.
Pain will be easier to manage when it first starts, so it's a good idea to tell your cancer team what you're experiencing, when it started, the pain level, where you feel the most pain, etc. It might be a good idea to keep a journal to log your experiences, just in case your mind goes blank when you step foot in the doctor's office.
The American Cancer Society helps us to remember that pain will be dependent on your type of cancer, its extent in your body, your pain tolerance, and other health problems you may have. Different kinds of medicines, ways to take medicine, and non-drug methods can all help to relieve pain.
