Going Beyond the Pink

Going Beyond the Pink’s mission is to offer free access to: needed support resources, health and wellness education, individual and family support, and financial assistance to our breast cancer community.

Going Beyond the Pink is an educational and supportive resource that is easily accessible, compassionate and readily available to individuals and families stricken by this life-threatening disease.

Going Beyond the Pink is a non-profit organization, operating for educational and charitable purposes under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Lump to Laughter-Angel Fund

The Angel Fund provides financial assistance to women in true immediate need, while undergoing active treatment of Breast or Ovarian Cancer in Southeastern NC. 

Assistance is for necessary household expenses or child care related expenses like rent/mortgage, car payment, utility bills, gas or grocery gift cards, day care or child extracurricular activities.

NC BCCCP

The NC BCCCP helps all eligible women in North Carolina. To be eligible, you must be uninsured, without Medicare Part B or Medicaid, between the ages of 40-64 for breast screening services and 21-64 for cervical screening services, and have a household income at or below 250% of the federal poverty level.

GoodRx

GoodRx is a company that helps people with the cost of their prescriptions. You can save up to 80% on prescriptions by finding coupons for your prescriptions and either texting, emailing, or showing your pharmacist your coupon. No paperwork or approval is needed. Major chains including CVS, Walgreens, Kroger, Rite Aid, Costco, Walmart, and many others will accept these coupons.

Hospital Charity Care Program-NHRMC

The New Hanover Medical Center offers financial assistance for those who are uninsured, unable to access other programs, live in the Novant Health Care area, and do not have an income of 300% of current federal poverty guidelines. Needy Meds

Needy Meds offers financial help on prescriptions for all US Citizens. To use this, you must have their NeedyMeds Drug discount card. For questions and/or contact call (800) 503-6897 or send an email to info@needymeds.org.

Cancer Care

Cancer Care helps all of those in the US who are eligible. To be eligible you must be in active treatment. To apply, you can call ((800)-813-HOPE (4673)) to talk to a cancer care social worker. If you are eligible, they will mail/email you a barcode, and they will request documentation to verify your income. You will be asked to fill out the application with the help of your oncologist. American Breast Cancer Foundation

The American Breast Cancer Foundation (ABCF) is a national 501 (c)3 charity dedicated to providing educational resources, access and financial assistance to aid in the early detection, treatment, and survival of breast cancer for underserved and uninsured individuals, regardless of age or gender.

HealthWell Foundation- Medicare Access

The HealthWell Foundation is a leading non-profit dedicated to improving access to care for America’s underinsured. When health insurance is not enough, we fill the gap by assisting with copays, premiums, deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses. In 2020, we awarded more than $650 million in grants through our Disease Funds, and since 2004 we have helped more than 615,000 patients afford essential treatments and medications. HealthWell is recognized as one of America’s most efficient charities — 100 percent of every dollar donated goes directly to patient grants and services.

Pretty in Pink Foundation

Pretty In Pink Foundation's mission is to provide uninsured and under-insured breast cancer patients in North Carolina with financial assistance for quality, life-saving medical treatment. We make this happen with financial commitments through sponsorships, fundraising, donations and pledge drives that support our Champions throughout North Carolina.

The Pink Fund

The Pink Fund is a non-profit breast cancer organization that provides 90-day non-medical cost-of-living expenses to breast cancer patients in active treatment, so they can focus on healing, raising their families, and returning to the workplace.

AstraZeneca

AstraZeneca’s ambition is to transform the lives of patients with improved outcomes and a better quality of life, through more effective treatment and prevention, ultimately working toward a cure for some of the world’s most complex diseases.

Family Reach

Family Reach is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to removing the financial barriers standing between a cancer patient and their treatment. Loss of income, out-of-pocket expenses, and socioeconomic factors create disparities in the financial burdens families face. Family Reach delivers financial education, financial planning, resource navigation, and emergency relief funds to patients and caregivers facing a cancer diagnosis so no family has to choose between their health and their home.

PAN Foundation

The mission of the PAN foundation is to help underinsured people with life-threatening, chronic and rare diseases get the medications and treatments they need by assisting with their out-of-pocket costs and advocating for improved access and affordability.

The PAN Foundation is an independent, national 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to helping federally and commercially insured people living with life-threatening, chronic and rare diseases with the out-of-pocket costs for their prescribed medications. 

Good Days- Metastatic Breast Cancer

Good Days is a non-profit advocacy organization that provides resources for life-saving and life-extending treatments to people in need of access to care.

Currents of Care

Currents of Care ensures that all patients are eligible for the medical, emotional and financial assistance, providing them with a constant flow of support throughout their cancer journey.

Dedicated to ensuring that every cancer patient in the community is eligible for individualized support, NHRMC Foundation is committed to raising $150,000 through their 2021 Currents of Care virtual fundraiser.

Pfizer Rx Pathways

Pfizer RxPathways connects eligible patients to a range of assistance programs that offer insurance support, co-pay help, and medicines for free or at a savings.

Breast Cancer Charities of America

The Breast Cancer Charities of America (BCCA) exists to eliminate breast cancer as a life-threatening illness. We bring together organizations representing all health and social service disciplines in the commitment to establish new and unprecedented levels of effectiveness in resources, education, advocacy, and support.

Komen Treatment

“Financial hardships shouldn’t keep patients from getting the treatments they need, that’s why we created the Komen Treatment Assistance Program. We know medical treatments and care can be expensive, but there are additional costs that can prevent an individual from receiving the treatment they need. Eligible applicants may receive a $300 award once per 12-month period to help with treatment related costs.”

The Assistance Fund- Breast Cancer CoPay Assistance Program

The Assistance Fund (TAF) is an independent charitable patient assistance organization that helps patients and families facing high medical out-of-pocket costs by providing financial assistance for their copayments, coinsurance, deductibles and other health-related expenses. TAF currently manages more than 70 disease programs, each of which covers the FDA-approved treatment for a specific disease.

Partnership for Prescription Assistance

The Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA) is free and confidential service that helps connect uninsured and underinsured patients who struggle with affordable access to medicines to prescription assistance programs that offer medicines for free or nearly free.
