There’s many reasons to participate in the WILMA Dash besides wanting to support breast cancer or raise awareness. For starters, it is Wilmington, NC’s ONLY all-women’s 5K race! Organized by WILMA Magazine and presented by New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Fleet Feet, and Vein Clinics of America, the WILMA Dash brings together over 1,000 women every year.
Even during the height of the COVID pandemic, the WILMA Dash took significant safety precautions to ensure social distancing and masking were in effect to protect participants, and they even offered a virtual option.

It is a truly powerful experience to come together with so many other women all talking about their experiences, their struggles, their accomplishments, supporting one another, and cheering one another on. This is one of our favorite events each year! Not to mention the beautiful scenery along the way! The race starts at Riverfront Park in downtown Wilmington, NC, so you’ll be enjoying the cool river breezes and beautiful downtown views.

5K (Ages 16 & older):
Price: $35.00 Race Fee + $3.53 SignUp Fee
Price increases to $45.00 after June 1, 2021 at 11:59pm EDT
5K (15 & Under):
Price: $25.00 Race Fee + $2.95 SignUp Fee
Price increases to $35.00 after June 1, 2021 at 11:59pm EDT

Pro Tip:
5ks are more fun when you sign up with friends. Consider creating a team of your own or let us know if you want to join the GBTP team this year! We just might need to do some custom GBTP t-shirts! And, no worries! You can walk, jog, limb, cartwheel, and skip your way through the course. No racing experience needed.

Start your race at the City of Wilmington's new Riverfront Park. The race course is through historic downtown Wilmington, giving you the views of the Downtown area which includes the Battleship, Bridges, and the award winning Riverfront.
Following your race, stay for the WILMA Dash Health Fest, food, and drinks.
